when after muchos años
& by the book "high noon" encounters

scarred but victorious Ned returned
to the Famous Gunfighters' School

Old Byrum cackled "hell, boy, who would've thought
you'd take all that stff so seriously—

we just pop 'em in the back
whenever we get a chance"
