Aren't we enlarged
by the scale of what we're able
to desire? Everything,
the choir insists,
might flame;
inside these wrappings
burns another, brighter life,
quickened, now,

by song: hear how
it cascades, in overlapping,
lapidary waves of praise? Still time.
Still time to change.

Mark Doty

excerpt from Messiah, Christmas Portions

QUICK QUESTION PLEASE! Tonight at KGB he (Mark Doty) read a poem about his first enduring love affair with a man. He had it while still married to Ruth. And the poem ends with his lover laying in bed, bruised from a motorcycle (I think) accident. Doty fellates him and then the man touches his head and cries. It was AMAZING!!!! But I can't find it online (I don't even know the title!). Can anyone help?! I'd be so grateful! Thank you in advance.
