Ha, I'm fairly ambivalent about Kamila Shamsie - the only book of hers I enjoyed was Salt and Saffron - skimmed through Kartography and Broken Verses but I've heard rave reviews about Burnt Shadows, perhaps that'll change my opinion of her but yes, I do adore the way she writes about Karachi! =)
